'METAL' MIKE CHLASCIAK To Lead SCHOOL OF ROCK's Metal Week Performance Camp

April 7, 2011

"Metal" Mike Chlasciak will work and perform with the students of School Of Rock during the Metal Week Performance Camp.

According to the School Of Rock web site, Metal Week Performance Camp students should already have a basic understanding of their instrument and grasp of music fundamentals. Students are assigned a myriad of metal songs and work in group workshops and rehearsal sessions leading up to a performance the final day of camp.

Setlist includes titles from DEATH, HELLOWEEN, METALLICA, IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST, PANTERA, MEGADETH, BLACK SABBATH, MERCYFUL FATE and NEVERMORE.

Metal Week session spans from July 25 to July 29 and takes place at the School Of Rock location in Chatham, New Jersey.

Mike will oversee the development of students during the final rehearsal phase and will perform with the students at the session’s final performance day.

"Metal" Mike Chlasciak is the guitarist for HALFORD, a band led by JUDAS PRIEST frontman Rob Halford. His "Metal For Life" column debuted in Guitar World magazine's April 2011 issue.

Mike is currently preparing his solo release, "The Metalworker". The album features Metal Mike's collaboration with Brazilian vocal siren Carlos Zema.
